Passown Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 26, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Passown ("Passown," "we," "us," or "our"), including the Passown website, applications, digital ownership records, maintenance management tools, dealer tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, purchasing a Passown product, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create or maintain a Passown account.
You are responsible for providing accurate information and for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You are responsible for activity occurring through your account.
3. What Passown Does
Passown is a digital ownership and maintenance management platform for vehicles, recreational equipment, and other supported assets.
Passown allows users to create digital Passports containing information such as ownership information, maintenance history, documents, photos, identifying information, service records, and related asset information.
Passown is a recordkeeping and information-management platform.
Passown is not:
- a government title registry;
- a government ownership registry;
- a legal authority for determining ownership;
- an insurer;
- a lender;
- an appraisal company;
- a mechanic or repair facility;
- a manufacturer;
- or a substitute for legal documentation required by a government agency, lender, insurer, dealer, or other third party.
Users remain responsible for maintaining any original documents or legally required records.
4. Passports and Permanent History
Passown is designed so that an asset's Passport can maintain a permanent history over time.
Cancellation of a subscription does not automatically mean that an asset's historical records are deleted.
Passown may retain asset records, ownership history, maintenance history, documents, and related information in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
A user may lose the ability to edit, manage, or access certain features when a subscription ends, but Passown's underlying records are not necessarily deleted.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content and information that you submit to Passown, subject to the rights necessary for Passown to operate the Service.
By submitting content, you grant Passown a limited, non-exclusive right to host, store, process, reproduce, display, and transmit that content as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit information, documents, photographs, and other content to Passown.
6. Ownership and Business Records
Passown may allow users and businesses to record ownership transfers, maintenance activity, service records, documents, and other information.
A record appearing in Passown does not independently guarantee that an event, repair, inspection, service, ownership transfer, or other activity actually occurred.
Passown may rely on information submitted by users, dealers, service providers, or other authorized parties.
Users are responsible for reviewing information before relying on it.
7. Subscriptions and Pricing
Passown may offer paid subscription plans for individuals, families, households, dealers, and other customers.
Current plans and pricing are displayed during checkout.
Subscription prices may change in the future. Where required by law, Passown will provide appropriate notice before a price change takes effect.
8. Free Trials
Consumer subscriptions may include a 14-day free trial.
Dealer subscriptions may include a 30-day free trial.
A valid payment method may be required to begin a free trial.
No subscription charge is made at the beginning of the applicable trial period.
Unless the subscription is cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription will automatically convert to the applicable paid subscription and the payment method on file will be charged.
The applicable trial length and pricing are displayed during checkout.
9. Founding 500
Passown may offer a Founding 500 program to the first 500 qualifying customers.
Founding 500 customers receive the subscription pricing offered at the time they qualify for the program for as long as the customer maintains the applicable subscription, subject to the program's stated terms.
Founding 500 customers may also receive one additional included Passport at their applicable subscription tier.
The Founding 500 benefit applies to qualifying subscriptions and is not transferable unless Passown expressly permits otherwise.
10. Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time.
Cancellation prevents future renewal charges.
Unless otherwise required by law or stated in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, cancelling a subscription does not automatically entitle you to a refund for amounts already charged.
Certain account features may become unavailable after a subscription ends.
Passown may retain historical records in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
11. Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe.
Passown does not store complete payment card numbers.
Payment information is handled according to the applicable payment processor's policies and security practices.
12. Passown Sticker
Passown may offer physical products, including Passown stickers.
A Passown sticker is a physical product and is separate from a Passown subscription.
Shipping information may be collected when required to fulfill a physical product order.
Sticker purchases are subject to the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
13. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Passown to:
- violate applicable law;
- impersonate another person;
- submit information you do not have the right to submit;
- upload malicious code;

14. Third-Party Services
Passown may integrate with or rely on third-party services including payment processors, hosting providers, authentication providers, email providers, infrastructure providers, and other technology services.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Passown is not responsible for the independent practices of third-party services.
15. Availability
Passown is provided on an ongoing basis, but Passown does not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Maintenance, upgrades, outages, technical problems, and circumstances outside Passown's reasonable control may temporarily affect availability.
16. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Passown does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or legal sufficiency of information submitted to or stored within the Service.
Passown does not guarantee that a Passport, record, document, ownership entry, maintenance entry, or other information will be accepted by any government agency, insurer, lender, dealer, manufacturer, purchaser, or other third party.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Passown and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Passown's aggregate liability arising from or related to the Service will be limited to the amount paid by the user to Passown for the Service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.
18. Suspension and Termination
Passown may suspend or terminate accounts or access to the Service when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, businesses, or third parties, or when a user violates these Terms.
Where appropriate, Passown may provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
Termination or suspension does not necessarily result in deletion of historical asset records.
19. Changes to These Terms
Passown may update these Terms from time to time.
When material changes are made, Passown may provide notice through the Service, by email, or by other reasonable means.
Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
